tis the seasons firsts...

Its about 3 months since we brought Pepper home--at her last check-up she was 8 lbs 14 oz, so by now she has probably broken 9 lbs. The docs all seemed to be very pleased. (Jason and I agree that at the point Pepper realizes what weight is we will have to stop making it public knowledge.) We have entered holiday season, and though we are still homebound, we have had plenty of family visits and baby makes three festivities. Pepper is finding her hands, her voice, she adores the tub and books, and...TV. We have discovered both her love and addiction to its pretty pretty colors. Perhaps we should take the time to figure out exactly when this happened. But for now it is just fun fun times learning something new about her everyday.

This is what happens we attempt stimulation other than television. Hmm.

Still loves her lamb swing.

10.31.11 - Halloween. One of the first relatively chilly weekends. We sort of fell down on the costume duties this year. Realistically what would really fit her right?

Perhaps a bit big but she seemed unbothered.

Superwoman Ballerina. Something to be said for creativity. (That we did not exercise.)

Tired.

11.24.11 - Thanksgiving. So so much to be thankful for. We spent it just the three of us--making food as though it were 10 of us and it was a beautiful, fulfilling and relaxing day. Pepper chose to sleep through most of it. But she was awake in spirit.

Pre-din prep

Jason's infamous and favorite eye level shots.

Pepper's place near the table.

Post-din nap. Megan excluded.

Finding her hands. We refer to it as putting her dukes up. Always.

Happy Thanksgiving.

12.01.11 - First Christmas tree decorating (Jason and I ended up taking turns considering Pepper gets antsy when all attention is not focused on her. I'm sure we will work on that one day too.) She did love the lights...eventually. And no-this wasn't a fire hazard to her.

Skeptical.

Benevolent.

Accepting and Delighted.
